TV-Tipp: Rammbock
Das ZDF zeigt heute und morgen den deutschen Zombieflick „Rammbock“, den Rajko und Batz erst neulich hier bei den Filmfreunden besprochen hatten. Der Film läuft heute abend um 22.30 Uhr auf ZDFneo und am morgen am 13. Dezember um 0.20 Uhr im ZDF, danach wird er auch in der Mediathek zu sehen sein, in der jetzt bereits ein paar Interviews am Start sind, Link zum Film reiche ich dann nach. Ein schreckliches Virus vermehrt sich im Norden Europas in rasantem Tempo – die daran Erkrankten werden zu wütenden Bestien. Chaotische Zustände machen sich breit. Aus Angst vor Ansteckung und aggressiven Übergriffen verbarrikadieren sich die noch Gesunden oder flüchten an vermeintlich sichere Orte.
Genau zu diesem Zeitpunkt trifft der 35-jährige Michael (Michael Fuith) in Berlin ein, um seine Liebe, seine Ex-Freundin Gabi (Anka Graczyk), zu besuchen. Einmal angekommen, bugsiert das Schicksal den 15-jährigen Harper (Theo Trebs) in seine Obhut. Gegenseitig beschützen sie sich und andere vor tobenden Zombies. Dabei ist Michael vordergründig kein Actionheld, vielmehr ein Philanthrop mit stark ausgeprägtem Helfersyndrom – ein Liebender in Zeiten der Zombiekalypse. Doch während die Stadt im Chaos versinkt, fehlt von Gabi jede Spur.

Vor einer ganzen Weile hatte ich über das Mini-Comic „Henry and Glenn“ gebloggt, in dem Henry Rollins und Glenn Danzig ein schwules Pärchen und ihre Nachbarn Hall & Oates Satanisten sind, jetzt haben sie einen Weihnachtscartoon mit den Charakteren hingelegt. Toll!
Das Comic gibt’s in einer neuen Version (ich hab’ die alte hier im Regal stehen) bei Microcosm Publishing.
Starring super-notorious musclebound punk/metaldudes Glenn Danzig and Henry Rollins (with a little help from super-notorious soft-rockdudes Hall and Oates) Henry & Glenn Forever is a love story to end all love stories! The premise of this Cantankerous Titles-released comic is explained at the front of the zine: “Henry and Glenn are very good ‘friends.’ They are also ‘room mates.’ Daryl and John live next door. They are satanists.”
What follows is ultra-metal violence and cryfest diary entries, cringing self-doubt and mega-hilarious emo-meltdowns. Who knew Danzig was such a vulnerable, self-conscious sweety-pie? Who knew Rollins was such a caring spouse? Who knew Hall and Oates were so infernally evil—yet so considerate?

Portal Done Pro – Speedrun in 9:25 Minuten

Hier spielt einer Portal in unfassbaren 9:25 Minuten durch, allerdings nicht am Stück. Das Video ist das Ergebnis von 2 Jahren Arbeit und ein Zusammenschnitt seiner schnellsten Levels: „I completed the first segment on September 13, 2008, 06:12 AM and the last segment on July 03, 2010, 08:32 PM. Almost 2 years of working on this.“ Außerdem nutzt er einige Bugs im Game aus. Dennoch: Impressive. Most impressive!
This is it… Portal Done Pro. I, DemonStrate, beat Portal for the PC in under 10 minutes. From when I get out of bed, to the time I drop the final personality core into the furnace, the time is 9:25.567. It is the current world record for Portal completion time.
Much of the speedrun is sitting in the elevator. I have not calculated yet how much time I waste waiting for the elevators, but I’m sure it is probably a majority of the time. I segmented the speedrun per map. This means when the game says, “Loading…”, it is loading a new map, and I save the game and load from there. The only exceptions are Chambers 02 and 13.
This speedrun uses a majority of the glitches in the game. Unfortunately, it does not use the acute angle glitch, which might be the most useful glitch in the game, if used correctly. All other glitches are explained in my series of commentary videos here: Portal Done Pro – Commentary Video.

Vor zwei Jahren zeigte ich hier ein Video dieses jungen Herrn namens Chicken Head Tracking, in dem ein Huhn seinen Kopf immer in derselben Position hält, unabhängig von der Bewegung des Körpers. Klingt kompliziert, ist aber ganz einfach: Funktioniert genau wie eine Steadicam. Und genau so eine hat er nun gebaut: A Chicken Head Steadicam.

XKCDs Complete Map of optimal Tic-Tac-Toe-Moves
Ich habe mir da jetzt lange genug den Kopf drüber zerbrochen (also die letzten fünf Minuten), aber: Ich glaube, in Randall Munroes „Complete Map of optimal Tic-Tac-Toe-Moves“ steckt irgendwo ein Logikfehler. Die Karte geht davon aus, dass der erste Zug von X oben links stattfindet. Wenn dem so ist, dann verstehe ich nicht, warum die Karte für O auch Platzierungen von O im selben Feld anbietet. Und wenn die Karte nicht nur von einer Startposition von X oben links ausgeht, dann gibt es viel zu wenig Möglichkeiten für X.
Natürlich gehe ich davon aus, dass der Denkfehler irgendwo bei mir liegt. Klärt mich mal auf, bitte.
[update] Denkfehler bereits selbst gefunden: Die Karte für O bietet die Position oben links an, da man für andere X-Startpositionen in anderen Ecken die Karte nur drehen muss. Deshalb ist die Karte für O auch ausführlicher und symmetrischer, andere Startpositionen für X sind nicht vorgesehen, da es um eine Karte für das optimale Tic Tac Toe-Spiel geht.
Hugh Hollands Locals Only: California Skateboarding 1975–1978
Hugh Holland, dessen Sk8-Fotografie aus den 70ern ich hier schon öfter hatte, hat einen neuen Bildband mit alten Skatefotografien am Start: Locals only. Die Bilder stammen aus seiner Ausstellung gleichen Namens in der M+B Gallery, ich gehe aber schwer davon aus, dass die Bilder aus seiner „Angels“-Ausstellung ebenfalls enthalten sind. Marijuana Xmas-Tree
High Christmas in Koblenz, da haben sie eine Weihnachts-Marijuanapflanze hochgenommen (nachdem sie noch dazu 150 Gramm Gass gefunden hatten). Und in München hat einer einen Haschisch-Adventskalender gebastelt. Christmas, up in smoke!
“The marijuana plant had been put in a Christmas tree stand and decorated with a string of lights,” officers said in a statement, according to the AFP. “When asked, the hashish fan told the perplexed officers that he had intended to add more decorations to the ‘tree’ and place the presents under it, according to tradition.” Times Live reports that 150 grams of marijuana had been found in the man’s home in Koblenz before the tree was discovered.
Turns out he wasn’t the only German getting into the Christmas spirit with cannabis this year. On Tuesday, a 21-year-old Munich man was reportedly arrested after making an Advent calendar with marijuana hidden behind each door instead of chocolate.

MadCs 700 Wall-Projekt ist mir bereits Anfang des Jahres begegnet, damals stand es aber noch am Anfang und es gab noch nicht viel zu sehen. Jetzt ist die Wand fertig, 680 Quadratmeter voller Graffiti. Whoa!
I went up and down the ladder more than 500 times; fell off the ladder 4 times; counted in days I painted more than 4 months every day at least 10 hours; I used 1489 cans; 158 different colours; 600+ caps; 3 different kind of caps, 100 liters primer; 140 liters exterior paint; painted at temperatures from +2C° to +38C° in sunshine, rain, storm, day and night; painted my biggest and smallest piece so far and overall painted my name far more than 100 times on this wall. I’m curious if anyone will guess or find out how many there actually are. I made only one exception from solely painting MadC pieces on this wall. Special place in my heart – special place on my wall.
