Coachella 2011 Livestreams
Heute eröffnet das Coachella Festival in Indio, Kalifornien die Festivalsaison und diesmal streamen sie die Gigs auf gleich drei Youtube-Channels, zumindest vorausgesetzt, der große, fiese Geoficker der Contentindustrie ist nicht wieder läufig. Wenn also alles gut geht, können wir heute nacht ab 2 Uhr die Gigs von unteranderem Cee Lo Green, Interpol, Kings of Leon, !!!, Cold War Kids, The Pains Of Being Pure at Heart, Flogging Molly, Gogol Bordello, Bright Eyes, The National, The Strokes, Duran Duran, Chromeo und natürlich die Reunion-Show von Death from Above 1979 live im Netz sehen. Mogi Grumbles, House-Produzenten aus Michigan, haben einen neuen Soundtrack für Tron am Start und haben dazu ein schickes, einstündiges Video zusammengeschnitten.
End of Line is an original re-score of the movie Tron (1981), created by French/Disco House antihero Mogi Grumbles. End of Line is a 100% independent composition that lives wholly outside the original film score by Wendy Carlos and Annemarie Franklin.
The result of a live collaboration between Alex Taam and video editor Christian Silbereis, a re-cut of the film featuring the Mogi Grumbles re-score has been released as a companion piece for your viewing pleasure. End of Line is being released digitally as a name-your-price offering, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the artist.

Offensichtlich mag sie das nicht so richtig gerne, dafür hatte sie ja dann aber ‘nen richtig guten Draht zu Voyager. Paper Record Player in a Wedding Invitation

Tolle Hochzeitseinladung von Kelli Anderson, die darin einen Plattenspieler aus Papier eingebaut hat, der den selbstgeschriebenen Song des Pärchens spielt.
In the booklet-style invitation, a bit of paper-folding amplifies the sound of a sewing needle moving along the grooves of a flexidisc record. The hand-spun record yields a garbled, but scrutable listening of an original song by the couple. It requires a bit of tinkering and folding —effectively championing the inner science-nerd kid in the recipient. The whole thing serves as an interactive packaging for the song—which can be experienced on the paper record player, unscrewed + set on a regular turntable, or enjoyed online (for the non-nerds and/or audiophiles out there.)
