Irgendwie ist es so blogmäßig mit mir zur Zeit echt nicht so weit her. Erst blogge ich Rammstein, wofür mich der alte Mann schalt, und dann bloggte ich etwas, das hier kurz zuvor schonmal reingeschrieben wurde.
Dies hier wurde allerdings, zumindest, so weit ich das überblicken kann, hier noch nicht veröffentlicht: Eine Compilation mit Robins “Holy”-Sprüchen, die die Frage aufwerfen, warum Batman Robin nicht selbst schon viel früher mit einer Brechstange bearbeitet hat.

Filesharing is no Religion, Jesus!
Vor ein paar Monaten hatte ich über den Versuch eines schwedischen Philosophie-Studenten gebloggt, der eine Filesharing-Religion namens Kopimism offiziell anerkennen zu lassen. Hat leider nicht hingehauen, obwohl täglich Millionen Menschen P2P-Software gen Seeder ausrichten.

While copyright holders are often quick to label file-sharers as pirates, there is a large group of people who actually consider copying to be a sacred act.
Philosophy student Isak Gerson is such a religious file-sharer, and in an attempt to protect this unique belief system he founded The Missionary Church of Kopimism last year. In the hope that they could help prevent persecution for their beliefs, the church then filed a request to be officially accepted by the authorities.
In practice this was easier said than done.
“The application was rejected in early April this year,” Isak Gerson told TorrentFreak. “It was rejected because Swedish law requires a religious communion to have a formalized way of praying or meditation. Our formalized traditions were specified at the time.”
Despite this early setback, the Missionary Church of Kopimism wasn’t going to give up. For a church that holds CTRL+C and CTRL+V as sacred symbols, filing a new application wasn’t too hard. This time, however, they formalized their official rituals, including meditation over shared information and the act of copying.
In the months that followed the Church of Kopimism grew to nearly 1000 members, who all prayed that their religion would be accepted by the Swedish authorities. This week, however, more bad news arrived informing the group that once again they had been denied the right to start a church in Sweden.

NASA Launches David Bowie Concept Mission
The Onion haben anlässlich der letzten Space Shuttle-Mission nochmal einen alten Artikel von Anfang 2010 gepostet, in dem die NASA eine Bowie-Mission mit Major Tom Louis, Major Tom Greely, Major Tom Ohweiler, Major Thomas Sinclair und Major Tom Keenan startet, während der die fünf Toms sexuelle Identitäten in Zero-G untersuchen sollen.
NASA officials announced today the successful launch of the new shuttle Moonage Daydream, marking the beginning of a long-anticipated two-week conceptual mission inspired by British rock star David Bowie.
According to NASA administrator Maj. Gen. Charles F. Bolden, Jr., the highly experimental glam space program—dubbed Project Starman—has been in development for exactly five years. Though engineers initially feared the mission might “blow our minds,” the historic launch ultimately proceeded without incident. […]
According to Ryschkewitsch, the astronauts, or “spaceboys,” as they will be called during the mission, are equipped with state-of-the-art pressurized suits.
“These new suits are veneered with a protective silver lamé to complement the multicolored lightning bolts emblazoned across the helmets’ sun visors,” Ryschkewitsch said. “They’ve also been updated with several improved components to ensure the team is completely safe when it’s time to leave the capsule—if they dare.”
The five-member crew is made up entirely of United States Air Force officers and includes Maj. Tom Louis, Maj. Tom Greely, Maj. Tom Ohweiler, Maj. Thomas Sinclair, and Maj. Tom Keenan.
While the mission will primarily study paranoia, decadence, and the fluidity of sexual identity in a zero-gravity environment, additional scientific testing will be conducted during the shuttle’s 14-day orbit of Earth.

Drunkards, Trolls and Politicians
Wissenschaftler haben herausgefunden, das Anonymität, Alkohol und Macht die gleichen neurologischen und psychologischen Trigger auslöst und zu extremen Verhalten führen kann. Am interessantesten finde ich ja hier den Macht-Teil, letztenendes könnte man Politiker, die aus Machtgeilheit und Lobbyinteressen mal wieder Dinge upfucken, nichts anderes als Trolle mit einem Alkoholproblem sind. Der Gedanke erscheint mir ziemlich schlüssig.
When people lose their inhibitions, they often behave in a manner more consistent with their true motives or character. At the same time, they also tend to be more easily influenced by their environment.
“In effect, disinhibition can both reveal and shape the person, as contradictory as that may sound,” Professor Galinsky said.
The end result is that power, alcohol and anonymity can all inspire either strong pro- or anti-social sentiments in people.
The study may help explain why anonymous commentators on the web often appear to hold extreme views.

M.I.A. und Editors live @ Exit Festival, Serbia
Gestern die Editors und M.I.A. gesehen. Erstaunlich, wie Festival-kompatibel die Editors mittlerweile sind, ich erinnere mich an ihren Auftritt auf dem Hurricane 2007, wo sie schon okay waren, aber noch lange nicht so professionell, wobei Tom Smith (Vocals) schon damals auf der Bühne herumtorkelte. Mittlerweile sind seine Anfälle allerdings besser einstudiert und sie sind nach wie vor einen Hauch zu pathetisch. Editors eben.
Danach M.I.A., die gleich zu Beginn erstmal für Tumulte bei den Fotografen sorgte, indem sie die auf die Bühne lies, sich danach in den Fotograben und ins Publikum stürzte und sich dabei (tatsächlich) fast auf mein Gesicht setzte. Die Aufnahmen von M.I.A. sind allesamt verwackelt bis unbrauchbar, die Sequenz mit ihr im Fotograben allerdings ist visuell superinteressant, die Doppelbelichtungen kamen genau so aus der Kamera, oben nur einer der Shots als Teaser. (Ich finde ohnehin, dass verwackelte Konzertfotos eine ganz eigene Ästhetik haben, zu Jarvis Cocker/Pulp habe ich auch ne ganze Serie von Fotos, auf denen er wie ein Geist aus Protoplasma aussieht, diese Fotos kommen alle noch.)
Die Dance-Arena, in der danach Underworld und Carl Craig spielten, war mir viel zu voll (und viel zu voller Douchebags), weshalb ich darauf dankend verzichtet habe. Nachher sehe ich Santigold, Jamiroquai (naja, ich weiß, aber dann kann ich den endlich mal abhaken), Hadouken und, vorausgesetzt die Dance Arena ist diesmal nicht ganz so voll, Groove Armada und DJ Sneak, den ollen Relief-Helden.
Und jetzt: Sonne, Eis, Mädchen, Donau und Nichtstun.

Fantastischer Kurzfilm von Terri Timley über das Phänomen Synesthäsie, bei dem bei manchen Menschen Sinneseindrücke andere Verarbeitungen im Gehirn auslösen, heisst: Wochentage schmecken, Zahlen hören, Musik sehen und solche Späße.
Den Kurzfilm hatte ich schonmal vor fast genau zwei Jahren, aber da der Film ziemlich grandios ist, Synästhesie grundsätzlich immer knallt und außerdem unbedingt Rammstein hier wegmuss, blogge ich den einfach nochmal.
