Ich hatte da vor knapp zwei Jahren schonmal was drüber: Feuerspucker und Graffiti in den Katakomben von Paris.
A man in blue coveralls is emerging from a hole in the sidewalk. His hair falls in dreadlocks, and there is a lamp on his head. Now a young woman emerges, holding a lantern. She has long, slender legs and wears very short shorts. Both wear rubber boots, both are smeared with beige mud, like a tribal decoration. Paris has a deeper and stranger connection to its underground than almost any city, and that underground is one of the richest. The arteries and intestines of Paris, the hundreds of miles of tunnels that make up some of the oldest and densest subway and sewer networks in the world, are just the start of it. Under Paris there are spaces of all kinds: canals and reservoirs, crypts and bank vaults, wine cellars transformed into nightclubs and galleries. Most surprising of all are the carrières—the old limestone quarries that fan out in a deep and intricate web under many neighborhoods, mostly in the southern part of the metropolis.

Danielle Gould: What was the inspiration for creating human cheese?
Miriam Simun: I love cheese. I have been trying to eat better recently, and there’s so many different considerations that go into ‘better food’ – organic, natural, local, sustainable, free-range, ethical, fair trade…its really overwhelming. It makes buying a wedge of cheese this complicated endeavor. So I started thinking – what would be the most natural, local, ethical cheese possible?
DG: Where did you procure the milk and how expensive was it?
MS: I used two different sources. One woman lives here in New York, and she very kindly donated it to me – she has been overproducing, filling up her freezer, and was finding it painful to just throw it away. I purchased the milk from the another woman, and she shipped it to me in ice, from Wisconsin. I am working to make a delicious Wisconsin human cheddar. I found both the women on an online marketplace for breast milk – where women regularly arrange to sell and donate their milk. It’s pretty interesting, women set the price of their breast milk depending on if they provide blood work, and also the health of their diet.

Jemand hat Saul Bass’ animierte und oscarprämierte Minidoku „Why Man Creates“ über den Prozess der Kreativität bei Youtube hochgeladen. Why Man Creates is a 1968 animated short documentary film which discusses the nature of creativity. It was written by Saul Bass and Mayo Simon, and directed by Saul and Elaine Bass.
The movie won the Academy Award for Documentary Short Subject. An abbreviated version of it ran on the first-ever broadcast of CBS’ 60 Minutes, on September 24, 1968.
Why Man Creates focuses on the creative process and the different approaches taken to that process. It is divided into eight sections: The Edifice, Fooling Around, The Process, Judgment, A Parable, Digression, The Search, and The Mark.

Schönes Projekt vom Cargo Collective: Girl Walk All Day. Improvisationstänzer springen durch Amerika zur Musik vom letzten Girl Talk Album „All Day“, das ganze ergibt ein großes Musikvideo auf Albumlänger. Oben der erste Teil zu den Tracks „Let it Out“ (2) und dem Anfang von „That’s right“ (3). Warum da nun der erste Track („Oh No“) fehlt, weiß ich nicht. Wird aber schon richtig sein, irgendwie.

Ron de Jeremy Rum is an exceptionally well-balanced 7-year old premium rum from Panama. It has an inviting light amber color with very attractive copper hues. The Aroma is that of carefully aged rum, with a harmoniosly balanced orchestra of oak, fruit and spices. It opens up smoothly, showcasing a high level of craftsmanship. The oak comes through robustly and satisfyingly, yet gently enough to allow hints of vanilla and raw sugarcrane to reveal them selves. The finish is elegant and long.

Hatte den 300$-Film Lazy Teenage Superheroes zunächst weggeklickt, nachdem er mir ab Minute 3 mit nerviger Wackelcam kam, er wird aber hintenraus besser. Beyond Black Mesa – Halflife-Fanshort completely online

Beyond Black Mesa, der Halflife-Shortfilm von Fans, ist nach zwei Jahren Produktionszeit jetzt komplett online. Man merkt dem Film natürlich sein Budget an und die Story bewegt sich über „Bad Guys chasing good Guys“ nicht hinaus, aber hey! Es ist immerhin der erste Kurzfilm auf Halflife-Basis, dessen Trailer auch wirklich zu Ende gebracht wurde (Vorher auf… Crackcore: I’m the Freeman: Fanmade Halflife 2-Movietrailer, Halflife Shortmovies: Escape From City 17).

The Moon Inside You: Happy Menstruation-Documentary
Schöner Trailer zu einer interessanten Doku von Diana Fabiánová, die am New Yorker Flughafen zunächst festgenommen wurde, als sie sagte, sie wolle auf einem Festival eine Dokumentationen über die Menstruation zeigen. Die dachten, sie würde sie verarschen wollen. Interessantes Detail für Deutschland: „When The Moon Inside You went on sale in Germany, Fabiánová said she was told that German women would not buy it, because ‘German women are not interested in their bodies.’“ Und tatsächlich verkauft Amazon zwar das Plakat, nicht aber den Film.

The same incredulity met her on street corners in France, Spain, England and Slovakia. When asked what he thought about menstruation, one man in the film concluded several moments of flustered silence by declaring that he cannot think at all right now, and simply walking away.
Such incidents are precisely why Fabiánová set out to make The Moon Inside You. She was tired of the secrecy which has surrounded the subject for so long — the way that our taboos have swept it under the rug and stifled our communication.
Speaking from Bratislava, she explained, “I started to do this movie because I couldn’t just believe that you should be in pain because you are a woman. And all the doctors, when you go and you say, ‘Well, I have a pain, what can I do?’, they say, ‘Well, it’s a part of womanhood, it’s the price you have to pay that you can have children,’ and it’s bullshit!” The doctors, she said, “just don’t care to do anything about it because they can sell you the pills”.
From contraceptive pills to feminine pads, there is a huge market supported by our silence. What the Church once did in making menstruation taboo, companies do today. “They know they can play on the shame of women, so they try to artificially recreate the shame, and the fear that somebody will find out that you are bleeding.”

Hier die offizielle Pressemitteilung meines Anwalts und mir:
Die Pfändung von René Walters Domain ‘nerdcore.de’ durch einen nach Selbstbeschreibung ‘Full-Service-Internetdienstleister’ hat für einiges Aufsehen gesorgt. Seit gestern Abend werden die Wirkungen der Pfändung aber wieder rückgängig gemacht und auf den Stand vor der Änderung der Inhaberdaten gebracht. Da die in dem Verfahren aufgelaufenen Kosten, die zu der Pfändung führten, zwischenzeitlich bezahlt wurden, droht keine weitere Pfändung mehr.
René Walter erklärt zu der aktuellen Situation: “Ich bedanke mich für die ungeahnte und alles andere als selbstverständliche Unterstützung durch unzählige Blogbeiträge und noch mehr Kommentare und ich freue mich, wenn mein Blog demnächst wieder in der gewohnten Qualität unter nerdcore.de erreichbar sein wird. Mein besonderer Dank geht auch an die DENIC für ihre kritische Prüfung des Pfändungsbeschlusses und an meinen Anwalt Dominik Boecker für seine juristische und moralische Unterstützung.”
Dominik Boecker, René Walters Anwalt, ergänzt: “Dass Domains gepfändet werden können ist seit einer Entscheidung des Bundesgerichtshofes höchstrichterlich geklärt. Der Ablauf einer Domainpfändung ist aber schwierig und birgt in der Praxis einige Fallstricke: Das beginnt zum Beispiel mit der präzisen Formulierung in der Antragstellung, die auch bestimmte prozessuale Rechte des Schuldners abbilden muß, um ein ordnungsgemäßes Verfahren zu gewährleisten. Bei der Pfändung der Domain ‘nerdcore.de’ befanden sich in den von den Anwälten gestellten Antrag aber mehrere Fehler, die unter anderem dazu führten, dass meinem Mandanten zwingende Prozessgrundrechte – das rechtliche Gehör – abgeschnitten wurde.
Der Pfändungsbeschluss wurde bei den beteiligten Stellen in Erinnerung gebracht. Die zentrale Vergabestelle für .de-Domains hat den Pfändungsbeschluss daraufhin nochmals eingehend geprüft und kam zu dem Ergebnis, dass ‘(…) der gegen Ihren Mandanten erwirkte Pfändungsbeschluß die Umschreibung dieser Domain nicht trägt (…). DENIC hat deshalb hinsichtlich der Daten des Domaininhabers und der besonderen Ansprechpartner den bis zum 7. Januar 2011 bestehenden Zustand wiederhergestellt.’. Das ist eine mutige, aber rechtlich vollkommen richtige Entscheidung der DENIC, zumal dadurch verhindert wird, dass die Domain für grade einmal 100,00 € verschleudert wird.
Die jetzt noch angezeigten Sicherungsmaßnahmen werden grade abschließend überprüft und dann veranlasst. Im Anschluss daran wird mit Herrn Walter das weitere Vorgehen im Hinblick auf das Hauptsacheverfahren abgestimmt.”
Udo Vetter hat ebenfalls noch ein paar Bemerkung zur juristischen Sachlage:
Euroweb konnte von Walter nach dessen Angaben etwa 1.100 Euro zuzüglich Zinsen verlangen. Nerdcore.de beherbergte aber eines der besucherstärksten Blogs Deutschlands. Fachleute schätzen den Wert der Domain auf 50.000 bis 80.000 Euro. Nur vor dieser erheblichen Diskrepanz ist es wohl zu verstehen, dass Euroweb nach Inbesitznahme der Domain ankündigte, Nerdcore.de zu versteigern […]
Wie sich nun herausstellt, hat Euroweb gegenüber dem Gericht erklärt, die Rechte an Nerdcore.de hätten einen “Schätzwert” von 100 Euro (in Worten: einhundert Euro). […] Euroweb wird sich nun fragen lassen müssen, wie es zu der lächerlichen Summe von 100 Euro gekommen ist. Offenbar hat das Gericht den Angaben des Unternehmens blind geglaubt. Das Gericht hat Walter auch nicht angeschrieben und ihm Gelegenheit gegeben, zu dem von Euroweb genannten Schätzwert Stellung zu nehmen. Dazu wäre es aber verpflichtet gewesen.
Die sofort nach Übernahme der Domain von Euroweb angekündigte Versteigerung für einen guten Zweck könnte jetzt zum Bumerang für Euroweb werden. Sie ist jedenfalls ein Indiz dafür, dass Euroweb bewusst gewesen sein könnte, dass der tatsächliche Wert von Nerdcore.de deutlich über den genannten 100 Euro liegt. Ob Rene Walter wegen dieses Sachverhaltes, den er als “Verschleuderung” von Nerdcore.de bezeichnet, zum Beispiel Strafanzeige wegen Verfahrensbetrugs erstattet, ist aber noch nicht entschieden.

Brooke Smith saß 1991 in einem Loch im Keller von Buffalo Bill und sollte sich die Haut mit der Lotion einreiben. Sie war sein letztes Opfer und wurde von Clarice Starling am Ende von „Das Schweigen der Lämmer“ mit Hilfe von Hannibal Lecter gerettet.
