Ich lege nächste Woche am Donnerstag zusammen mit Ronny aka Kraftfuttermischwerk auf der Comiclesung von Hotze in der Wilden Renate in Berlin auf, was mir tatsächlich eine besondere Ehre ist, denn Bringmann & Kopetzkis Techno-Comics auf der letzten Seite der Groove haben praktisch meine Druffi-Jugend begleitet. Wir spielen da irgendwann morgens um 6 und wahrscheinlich auch nicht allzulange, aber was solls. Umz Umz Umz!

Meet Agatha Christie, Surf-Pioneer
Agatha Christie und ihr Gatte waren unter den ersten Engländern, die an den Stränden von Honolulu surften. Ich schaue/höre mir ja sehr oft alte Miss Marpse-Filme zum Einschlafen an, ohne da jetzt die Qualität mindern zu wollen. Aber Madame Christie hätte ich mir nie nie niemals als Surferin vorgestellt.

Their enigmatic creator, though, was something of a pioneering and diehard wave-rider. At a time when many of her contemporaries were chugging cocktails in Blighty, Agatha Christie was paddling out from beaches in Cape Town and Honolulu to earn her surfing stripes.
Research by Pete Robinson, founder of the Devon-based Museum of British Surfing, suggests Christie and her first husband, Archie, may been among the first Britons to learn how to surf standing up.

Ein Redditor hat dieses Shirt irgendwie so hinbekommen. Ich kann den Shirt-Knoten mit meinem kleinen Hirn grade nicht nachvollziehen oder anders formuliert: WTF is this, I don’t even…

Ich muss so lachen. Und nein, das ist keine Satire und nicht The Onion. Und wie Redditor Rooney025 erklärt: „I’m from Utah. You have to remember that ksl is the Mormon news channel. So to them this is HUGE!“
A recent poll shows Americans give God a 52 percent job performance approval rating. Only 9 percent of respondents disapprove. The survey asked, “If God exists, do you approve or disapprove of its performance?”
A blogger for Public Policy Polling, which conducted the survey, wrote, “(The results are) hardly a surprise considering the vast majority of the country believes in an infallible deity, but some of the crosstabs are quite interesting.”

Schönes Spielzeug: Rorschmap ist ein doppelt gespiegeltes Google Maps. Die Geodaten funktionieren zwar nicht richtig (laut Rorschmap sitze ich in Újlengyel, Ungarn) und die Suche funktioniert auch eher so gar nicht, aber: Sieht toll aus! (via Doktor Katze)
Synth Erotica: A Blog about 70s-Porn-Soundtracks
Großartig! Synth Erotica ist ein Blog voller Synthie-Soundtracks aus 70er-Jahre-Pornos inklusive detailierter Infos zu den Szenen, aus denen die Tracks entnommen wurden. Obiges Beispiel stammt aus „The Golden Bone“.
Thanks to the likes of Dallas/Dynasty/Knots Landing/etc being long running TV series there were many an adult feature taking on their tried and tested plots. The classic wacky inheiritance plot where the cast have to undergo a challenge while it brings out the worst in everyone was a classic plot device and The Search For The Golden Bone was made exactly in this manner. The ever suave Sasha Gabor leaves the challenge to those in his will to find the Golden Bone (yes, it’s a gold replica of his cock, as evidenced in the adjacent image) to then grant it’s finder all his riches. Totally awesome.
The action is scored by Lacrimae Rarum who’s work traverses many lurid styles of music but saves his best for the main theme and scene eight. Both tracks are superbly written and makes for some dirty, dirty times that will make your speakers melt with their steamy symphonies.
Scene eight provides some exhilarating expressions of extremely exhausting ecstacy with the entire cast being serviced within an inch of their lives in an orgy of orgasmic opulence. The groans of totally unbridled sexual congress compliment Lacrimae Rarum’s synth work of moistening majesty. Behold the glory of the Golden Bone and it’s lasciviously lovely synth erotica.

berlin-based artist EVOL has installed a miniature city beneath the countryside of rural hamburg, germany, in a project for the ms dockville arts and music festival in august. the project was completed over the course of eight days and will remain at least through the festival’s close on august 14th.
