1-Bit Cam-App
With 1-BIT CAMERA for iPhone you can see and record your world in one bit clarity, processed with dithering algorithms pioneered by Bill Atkinson and Bryce Bayer. Those are only fancy names, of course – but! – you have probably laid eyes on their immortalized legacy as per the superior imaging seen in the original Apple Macintosh OS and the Nintendo Gameboy Camera, respectively.
PRO-GEAR SPEC
- 1-bit dynamic range
- More than 150 kilopixels

Troll Culture – A Comprehensive Guide

Plato described Diogenes as “a Socrates gone mad.”
Diogenes was also known for masturbating in public, eating at the marketplace, which was considered rude at the time, urinating on people who insulted him, pointing at people with his middle finger and defecating at the theatre.
This would qualify him for an excellent troll, if he didn’t do it to teach society about values. It is really hard to say, if his personal amusement played a role in his doings. On the other hand, I believe it to be quite possible, that he had a lot of fun when he was urinating on critics. His goals were inner freedom as the key to happiness. If his doings were to pursue that ideal, that implicates he really did it for teh lulz (for his enjoyment).
This would qualify him as one of the first documented trolls.

Art from interconnected Life-Supporting Machines
Nice!
A number of life-support machines are connected to each other, circulating liquids and air in attempt to mimic a biological structure. The Immortal investigates human dependence on electronics, the desire to make machines replicate organisms and our perception of anatomy as reflected by biomedical engineering.
A web of tubes and electric cords is interwoven in closed circuits through a Heart-Lung Machine, Dialysis Machine, an Infant Incubator, a Mechanical Ventilator and an Intraoperative Cell Salvage Machine. The organ replacement machines operate in orchestrated loops, keeping each other alive through circulation of electrical impulses, oxygen and artificial blood.
Salted water acts as blood replacement: throughout the artificial circulatory system minerals are added and filtered out again, the blood gets oxygenated via contact with the oxygen cycle, an ECG device monitors the system’s heartbeat. As the fluid pumps around the room in a meditative pulse, the sound of mechanical breath and slow humming of motors resonates in the body through a comforting yet disquieting soundscape.
Glen E. Friedmans Beastie Boys-Photos

Kids review Radioheads “Paranoid Android”
Meme Artshow

Bees drinking human Tears
On landing, automatic blinking with the eye often prevented the bee from getting a firm hold, causing it to fall off the eyelashes. If so, the bee persistently tried again and again until it was successful, or finally gave up and flew off. In a very few cases the approach was so gentle that the host (H.B.) did not realize he had a Lisotrigona attached to his lid, imbibing his tears. After landing and whilst sucking tears, H.B. often could barely feel the presence of a bee; indeed, checking by mirror was then required to make sure whether it was still there or had left.
However, when several bees were involved, the experience was rather unpleasant, causing strong tear flow. Once a bee had settled and more were approaching, these tended to settle near each other in a row. Closing the eye did not necessarily dislodge bees but some continued to suck at the slit. They were even able to find and settle at closed eyes.

Harmless – Christian Horrorfilm about haunted Porn
YT Direktporn, via io9
Harmless is a feature film shot in the popular found footage style. It’s the story about a husband and father and his battle with a box of porn that is found in the closet. Once opened, the box of porn begins to torment the family, much like a poltergeist. It’s sort of a social commentary on how pornography can destroy a family.
Kickstarter of Doom: Crowdfunded War and Torture

“Polemically, that’s really interesting,” says Clay Shirky, the NYU professor and internet theorist, out of whose communications tech class the idea was born, “but that’s actually a thing that could happen, given that there are these guns for hire. What would it take to create a crowdsourced hire of [mercenaries]?”
Kickstriker, a site only a few days old, bills itself as a way for average citizens “who care” to support the resolution of intractable wars. “Following the massive success of Invisible Children’s ‘Kony 2012′ campaign, we found ourselves excited about the potential that crowdsourcing held for addressing global conflicts,” reads its About page. “Disappointed” by the backlash to Kony 2012′s messianism, comfort with U.S. military intervention and disquieting racial undertones, the crew of three Shirky students sought to “cut out the middleman in online activism.”
