Der Staffel-Abschluss der neuen allgemeinen Lieblingsserie „Community“ bestand aus 3 Folgen, in einer davon, „Journey to the Center of Hawkthorne“, nahezu komplett in Retrogame-Optik, musste Chevie Chase ein fieses rassistisches Pixel-Game gegen seinen toten Vater zocken,hier ein Clip daraus. Jetzt setzt Reddit das Game tatsächlich um: hier das Subreddit Hawthorne, Release v0.0.13 kann man hier runterladen (für alle Systeme), hier die Website zum Projekt. To celebrate the grand finale of NBC show Community’s third season, three episodes were shown on the same night. The first of the trio, Digital Estate Planning, threw the Greendale Community College students into a 16-bit video game called Journey to the Center of Hawkthorne, and Reddit user Derferman has taken it upon himself to recreate the game from the ground up. Currently in version 0.0.12b, the 2D side-scroller features a roster of playable characters, music, sound effects, a couple of stages, and running and jumping mechanics.
