Reddit User RocketCar geht dieses Jahr als der Sniper Richard Harrow aus Boardwalk Empire. Ich schätze mal, ein besseres Kostüm werden wir dieses Jahr nicht mehr sehen: My buddy who did the “Zipper Face” costume last year has outdone himself this year…
Pomeraner Angel of Death-Costume
Derzeit geht ein Zombie-Pudel rum, den fand ich ziemlich lame so mittelokayish. Erstens geht die Sammlung mit den frisierten Pudel jetzt schon seit… 367 Jahren durchs Netz (okay, der Zombie-Pudel stammt nicht aus der Bildersammlung, ich hab’ den trotzdem schon vor Jahren gesehen… wie auch immer.) Zweitens: Ich hasse Pudel. Ich mag die noch weniger, als Chihuahuas und sowas. Drittens ist obiger Zwergspitz als Angel of Death tausendmal toller. So. (via Buzzfeed)

Sasha Grey is Wonder Woman
Asylum hat Sasha Grey an Halloween in ein Wonder Woman-Kostüm gesteckt. Wer die Dame kennt, der weiß, warum das überaus passend ist. Außerdem plant sie tatsächlich ein Sasha Grey-Comic (WAAAAA! Nerd-Dreamcometrue!), steht auf Rorschach aus Watchmen und ihre liebste Superkraft wäre Mindcontrol. I’m so in love.
Grey is planning out a graphic novel (insert your “graphic” joke here) and lists “Watchmen,” “Sandman,” “Ghost World” and “American Splendor” as her favorites.
Long before she was known for rough sex, Grey was dreaming about the rock-’em, sock-’em action of Spawn, Hellblazer, Batman and the X-Men.
“I guess they’re a bit fitting for my generation, and I easily gravitated toward them,” she explains. “And they are all badasses!”
Fans of her star turn in “Star Trek XXX” are surely wondering why this hero of hardcore hasn’t already brought ink to the adult world. Asked if she could portray any superhero, she suggests “Rorschach” — the Watchmen’s man with a morphing inkblot face who’s unwavering in moral certitude.
Preferred special power? “Most likely mind control. Second choice would be invisibility.”

Banksy in Mexico, 1999: Anarchist Football and a Banksy-Costume-Ripoff
Banksy reiste 1999, kurz bevor er berühmt wurde und abtauchen musste, mit dem anarchistischen Fußball Club The Easton Cowboys nach Chiapas, Mexiko, hinterließ dort ein paar seiner Stencils und kickte gegen die Zapatista Army of National Liberation.
One of Banksy’s more obscure international excurtions was to Chiapas in Mexico back in 1999 with the Bristol based anarchist football club The Easton Cowboys to play football against the Zapatista Army of National Liberation.
Whilst he was out there he also painted some murals in support of the Zapatistas and put up some of his trademark stencils.

Rund vor einem Monat hatte ich hier ein Oil Spill-Kostüm, das man kaufen konnte. Jetzt hat Instructables eine Anleitung, wie man sowas auch selber basteln kann. Dazu braucht man nur ein paar weiße Klamotten, schwarze Farbe und die Nachbildung eines toten Vogels. (via Wonderhowto)

Ralph McQuarrie Darth Vader-Helm
Klassische Star Wars-Kostüme sind sowas von 2009, doh. 2010 trägt man Darth Vader-Helme im Design der original Ralph McQuarrie-Concept Arts. Kostet auch nur 900$, das Teil – dafür gibt’s lediglich 250 Stück davon.
Digital sculptor Jay Kushwara “captured the true sinister essence of the Darth Vader that Ralph McQuarrie envisioned in his original sketch,” said Bryan Ono, president of eFX, the company producing the $900 collectible helmet, in a press release Thursday.
Only 250 of the three-piece Ralph McQuarrie Signature Edition Darth Vader Concept Helmets (pictured) will be made. Pre-orders from eFX will begin at 9 a.m. PST Monday, with a non-refundable deposit of $250 required at time of pre-order. The helmets are expected to ship in late May.

Big Head Halloween Costume
Eric Testroete hat seinen eigenen Kopf in groß mit Hilfe von 3D Studio Max und Photoshop aus Papier nachgebastelt, das Ergebnis ist ein sehr weirdes Halloween-Kostüm. Außerdem sieht er so ein bisschen aus wie meine Wenigkeit. Und ich stelle mir grade vor, wie Low Resolution Girl Mr. Big Head auf einer Halloween-Party trifft. Wäre das Pärchen des Jahres.
