Ein hirngesteuerter Quadrocopter! Das neue hier ist wohl, dass sie die „Auflösung“ für Gedankensteuerung auf vier Richtungen erhöht haben (hoch, runter, links und rechts) und durch einen Hinderniskurs fliegen konnten.

Es gab einen Döner- und einen Tacocopter, einen Burrito-Bomber und im August sollen auf einem Festival in Südafrika Bier per Dronen an die Besucher geliefert werden. Aber das ist natürlich alles nur so halblustiger Unsinn und alberne Spielerei, die seriöse Anwendung dieser Technologie liegt ganz klar in der Entwicklung eines fliegenden Pizzaservice. Ich mein’ das sogar so mittel-ernst und ja, klar, ist nur ‘ne Promogeschichte für ‘nen Lieferanten, aber ey: FLIEGENDE PIZZA!

Wer die ganze Drohnenthematik (wie ich) bislang eher so dreiviertelinteressiert periphär auf dem Schirm hatte, dem empfehle ich diese halbstündige Doku von Journeyman.tv, die vom Einsatz der Dinger als Kriegsgerät bis zu zivilen Drohnen alles abdeckt – in der Doku sieht man zwei Paparazzi (!) an der Küste Frankreichs stehen, mit Videobrillen und Fernsteuerung, die per Drohne Bilder von Paris Hilton knipsen!
Ich hatte mich auf der CampusParty mit einem unterhalten, der sich selbst einen Quadrocopter gebaut hatte und der autonom per GPS markierte Punkte auf einer Karte im Schwarzwald abgeflogen ist. They’re coming to get you, Barbara!
