Elvis’ Stage-Unnerbuxen for Sale

1977 Jumpsuit Underwear. The briefs were worn on stage in 1977 and are unwashed with some stains apparent. The following information came from the owner of the Elvis-A-Rama Museum before he sold it to Graceland: “Elvis Presley`s 1977 jumpsuit underwear – this pair of light blue dance briefs was worn by entertainer Elvis Presley in 1977 while on stage. Elvis didn`t want any lines visible while he was on stage wearing his vast array of dazzling jumpsuits. This pair of underwear was obtained from the estate of Vernon Presley, Elvis` father”. The underwear had been on display at the world famous Elvis-A-Rama Museum for many years. The Elvis-A-Rama was later bought by Graceland and retired.

How To design an Elvis-Mouse

OMG! Elvis-Mice!
The first online stop is Ebay where the designer bought a hair from Elvis Presley for $22. He sent it to a gene sequencing lab that advertise its services online. The scientists working at the lab are able to identify different behavioural traits (such as sociability, athletic performance, obesity or addiction) from one speck of hair. Koby then sent the data collected about the genes to another lab which is able to produce transgenic mice clones with parallel traits. The result is a mouse that is a genetically cloned model of Elvis.
In parallel to the works performed by these laboratories, Koby has been studying the scientific mouse model environments that have been used on lab mice over the past 100 years. The cages have been designed to study and manipulate psychological aspects of mice.
Koby then made his own cages. But his were intended to reconstruct some of the most influential moments in the life of Elvis. Each of these cages offers a specific environment that is designed to influence the psychology of the mouse and make it closer to Elvis’.

Elvis Hologram in the Works
One for the money, Two for the show, Three to get ready and four to go.
The same digital production company that created the virtual Tupac for this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is working with CORE Media Group to “jointly develop, produce and own a series of ‘virtual’ Elvis Presley likenesses for a range of entertainment projects – from shows and appearances to film, TV and multi-platform productions throughout the world,” a statement announces. […]
If “computer generated” Elvis will be in the vein of Digital Domain’s “computer generated” Tupac, then fans can expect to see an eerily lifelike performance from The King of Rock and Roll one of these days, more than 30 years after his 1977 death at the age of 42.
Tomorrow is Free Comic Books Day and it has some Elvis

The afterlife fantasy by comics legend Lee was originally created as part of Liquid Comics’ $195 hardcover anthology Graphic Elvis, which is limited to 2,500 copies. Now the story is a cool component of the Graphic Elvis preview that will hit comics stores this Sunday as part of Free Comic Book Day.
Why an Elvis tribute illustrated by some of comics top creators? Presley was a confessed comics geek who, before and since his death 35 years ago, has appeared everywhere from Captain America to the The Sandman.
Plus, the King knew how to make a superheroic entrance.
Buy Elvis’ Hair in a Jar (echt jetz!)
From the King’s Personal Barber: A Large Quantity of the Hair That Fascinated the World for Decades. An incredibly rare opportunity for the serious Elvis Presley collector. We offer not just a strand or two, not just a small lock, but uncounted thousands of strands cut from that trademark Presley pompadour by his personal hair stylist, Homer M. Gilleland. Elvis Presley’s hairstyle, though it evolved a bit through the years, was as much a part of his “brand” as the swiveling hips, curling lips, and versatile vocal stylings. At the beginning of his career, he made the decision to die his mousy blond hair a deep black and fashion it in a ducktail with a long pompadour front and long sideburns. This style was instantly copied by millions of young men worldwide. Adolescent girls (of all ages) also loved his hair and were horrified when, on March 25, 1958, Elvis received his famous first G.I. haircut after which he remarked, “Hair today, gone tomorrow” to the press. A recent survey taken in the U.K. concluded that, even in 2010, a full 50% of men favor Elvis’s trademark “quiff” (British slang for a prominent forelock) and sideburns over any other hairstyle.
Throughout his twenty-plus year career, Elvis had one preferred personal hair colorist and stylist. Homer M. Gilleland worked at Goldsmith’s Department Store in Memphis as a hairdresser; he was known to his clientele as “Mr. Gill” and one of his regular customers was Gladys Presley. After achieving his early fame, Elvis asked his mother’s hairdresser to cut his hair; thus began a long and deeply personal relationship. Gilleland was given a credit card so he could travel to anywhere in the world where Elvis needed a color touchup or a trim. Throughout the years, he saved a quantity of the hair that he cut from the head of the King.

World Cup phenomenon Paul the Octopus is set for a new career – as an Elvis impersonator.“

Autopsy instruments used in the embalmment and preparation of the body of Elvis Presley will be up for sale on August 12, 2010, just four days before the anniversary of the entertainer’s death. The items were saved for many years by the senior embalmer at the Memphis Funeral Home.
Elvis Presley died on August 16, 1977. Following the autopsy, the body was escorted by the Memphis police from Baptist Memorial Hospital to the funeral home six hours after being found in the master bathroom of the Graceland estate. Throughout the evening, the embalmers, watched closely by the Memphis Police Department, prepared Presley’s body for a private viewing that was to occur the next morning. Preparing the body involved embalming the body, dressing the body in the suit chosen by Elvis’s family, applying make-up, and dying Elvis’s graying hair to the jet-black color accustomed by his fans.
All of the items used in the autopsy and funeral preparations will be offered at auction, including: rubber gloves, forceps, lip brushes, comb and eye liner, needle injectors, an arterial tube and aneurysm hooks. According to the owner, the items were used only once.

Frankensteins Elvis

You were always on my mind“ trällert, dann doch ganz gut vorstellen.
The title of this new book is “Frankenstein Has Left The Building.” It’s a project that is still in its early stages of life, but Goldsher has a clear vision for joining what he considers to be two highly complementary tales: those of Elvis Presley and Frankenstein’s monster.
“Basically, instead of doing what I did with ‘Paul is Undead’ — taking the Beatles myth and applying zombie mythology on top of that — I am taking ‘Frankenstein’ the book and rewriting it with Elvis [Presley] as the creature,” he explained. “The book takes place in the 1960s. It’s still the same format as the original ‘Frankenstein,’ which is Dr. Frankenstein is relating the story to the ostensible narrator of the book.”
“It’s going to be very close in terms of story arc,” he continued. “All of the same characters are going to be there, but it’s going to be written in a whole new voice. Our Frankenstein character, he’s from the South, just like [the real] Elvis.”

Han Solo is the King, u know.

Auch toll: „I Ain’t Drinking That!“ inklusive Fingerdrinks und einem Brain Blender.
WowWee Elvis Robot becomes T-800 Elvinator

WowWee makes many fun robots of limited but clever articulation and affordable price. It’s a cool company, but ultimately, the novelty of a singing Elvis robot wears out about just as fast as one of those Wal-Mart brand singing mackerels.
To re-inject some fun into a gag gift that had long been played out, Instructables user GWJax took a blowtorch to one side of his Elvis’ robot’s rubbery mug, fitted it with a glowing red LED eyes, and thus the Elvinator was born.

What started as a few grassy plots of sod occupying metered parking spots in San Francisco has blossomed into a world-wide event, and this year was a HUGE global success. In San Francisco alone, over 55 parking spaces were occupied by volunteers, government offices, and local businesses.”
