DaVinci inspired Pendulum-Drawing-Machine
Ich bin komplett fasziniert von Eske Rex’ „Drawing Machine“, zwei Pendel die einen Stift bewegen, der an zwei Stangen befestigt ist, die mit einem Scharnier beweglich gehalten werden. Klingt kompliziert, das Video zeigt aber, dass das ein supereinfacher Mechanismus ist.
Das Ergebnis erinnert mal an die Spirograph-Zeichnungen, mal an John Maedas (Ex-Direx vom MIT Media Lab, Wikipedia) programmierter Kunst und der ganze Mechanismus basiert noch dazu auf einer Maschine von DaVinci, das hier ist sowas wie analoge, generative Kunst… Mind –> Blown. Von Core77:
Drawingmachine is a construction involving two pendulums, each suspended from a tower construction and connected through “drawing arms” and moveable joints. A ballpoint pen resting on a drawing surface covered with paper is mounted at the point where the pendulums come together. Aus dem Thema hat Ozaki dann ein Musikvideo gebaut, in dem ein Crossdresser unbedingt genau herausfinden will, wie man sic so fühlt, als Frau. Ich würde das ja vielleicht auch mal ausprobieren für ‘nen Tag, oder so… vielleicht aber auch eher nicht.
