Es erscheint parallel zu Tricks ein Album auf dem Weblabel mit den Songs aus Show. Die 10. Episode ist eine Live-Episode die am 24. August aus dem Haus für elektronische Künste Basel live übertragen wird. Jeden Freitag wird eine neue Episode online veröffentlicht, heute haben wir den legendären Ingo Insterburg zu Gast, der uns ein paar seiner selbstgemachten Instrumente zeigt.

I already have a free-standing bike stand so this bench just needs to hold tools and be a handy work surface. Third, it needed to blend into it’s urban surroundings.

“We’ve spent the last seven years gathering evidence and we’re confident that ‘beyond reasonable doubt’ this is Wallace Hartley’s violin.” Mr Hartley’s body was recovered from the water about 10 days after the ship sank, but the violin was not listed among the inventory of items found with him. It is claimed the violin survived in a leather case, strapped to Mr Hartley’s body, which floated upright in his cork and linen lifejacket.

Los Angeles’ Underground-Tuba-Market
In Los Angeles sind Tubas grade der heiße Scheiß auf dem Schwarzmarkt. TUBAS!
At least 23 tubas have been stolen from eight different high schools in and around L.A. in less than a year — not something these campuses can afford, given public school budgets these days.
As for where all these stolen tubas are going, there are competing theories. Some say they’re being sold for scrap metal. But police say more likely it has something to do with banda, a kind of tuba-heavy Mexican polka music that has become very popular around L.A. It’s so popular, in fact, that Los Angeles school police officer Omar Sanchez says an underground economy has sprung up.

WK recently allowed me some time to tackle a problem that plagues workers everywhere whether they are working in advertising or some other job that involves a lot of email typing. I’m talking about the problem of not being able to devote enough time practicing shredding the guitar.
The solution of hooking a guitar up so that you could use it like a computer keyboard had been in my head for a few years and it was a real joy to get to follow through on it.

Playing Super Marios RAM-Timeline as a Music-Instrument
Großartig! Chris Novello zeichnet Images des NES-RAMs für jeden Frame aus Super Mario auf und spielt die Images wie ein Musikinstrument über einen Controller. Nennt er Super mario spacetime Organ und die Technik bezeichnet er als Code-Bending. Toll!
Mario’s universe is held in RAM, which the NES uses to draw his world for each frame of the game. By recording the entire state of the NES memory for every frame, I’m able to go back to any moment in Mario’s life. So then I use the X-axis of the Soundplane to sweep through the timeline of Mario’s universe.
Not only that, but the Soundplane is multitouch, so I use a second finger to specify start and endpoints in a playback loop. Technically, this is similar to the way samplers and granular synths work in audio.. but with the entire memory state of the NES. Conceptually, it is like Super Mario meets Groundhog Day. Mario’s universe computer/time machine gets caught in hellish loops.
