Chrome-Plugin replaces The Cloud with my Butt
Oh toll! Eine Extension für Chrome, die „the Cloud“ mit „my Butt“ ersetzt. Hier ein paar der schönsten Beispiele, die ich nach der Installation gesehen habe:

Funktioniert anscheinend nicht so richtig rund, bei mir ersetzte das Plugin für ein paar Klicks alle „The Cloud“s mit meinem Arsch, jetzt grade klappts aus irgendeinem Grund nicht mehr. Trotzdem: Großer Spaß!

OneTab reduces Browser-Clutter
Hervorragendes Browser-Plugin für Chrome, hab’ ich mir umgehend installiert: OneTab packt alle offenen Tabs als Linkliste auf eine Seite, die man als HTML exportieren kann. Ich öffne immer zehn bis zwanzig Tabs aus meinem Feedreader und arbeite die einen nach dem anderen ab. Je nachdem, welche Websites da geöffnet werden, explodiert mir da schonmal der RAM (I’m looking at you, Noisey and /Film) und das kann ich mir in Zukunft sparen, einfach drölf Tabs öffnen, auf ein Icon klicken und bequem eine Linkliste abarbeiten. Toll!
Block Everything-Plugin for Filterbubble-Finetuning
Greg Leuch hat sein Shaved Bieber-Selbstzensur-Plugin aufgebohrt. Mit Pop Block kann man jetzt alles blocken, was einen so quer sitzt und nervt, damit man’s in der (übrigens insgesamt überbewerteten) Filter Bubble noch bequemer hat.
Pop Block wants to help users manage their content bubble, by allowing them to control content visibility while browsing the web. Blocking and hiding content is notably achieved through advertising blocking extensions, but the everyday web content we consume contains many more things we may not wish to see.
By launching a customizable keyword blocker through browser extensions, Pop Block gives users the ability to control their engagement with content while browsing. This approach allows users to manage a list of keywords that synchronize wherever they have installed the extension.
Auto-Like Plugin: I Like What I See
Ein Chrome-Plugin, mit dem man automatisch alles Facebook-Liken kann, bis der Zuckerberg blockt. Sowas wie die Plugin-Kunst-Variante der „Like Me On Facebook“-SEO-Deppen. Toll!
I Like What I See is a Chrome extension to automatically click all “Like” links on Facebook. When you visit Facebook, click the thumbs up in the extension bar and start scrolling and liking. Liking and scrolling. Every instance of the word “Like” will be clicked. Don’t worry, Facebook is a fun place full of all of the stuff you like.
If you scroll too fast Facebook might find it impossible that you like all of the things you do as fast as you do (seeing is believing/liking). You may find yourself being blocked from expressing your true feelings for your friends status updates.

Jailbreak the Patriarchy genderswaps the world for you. When it’s installed, everything you read in Chrome (except for gmail, so far) loads with pronouns and a reasonably thorough set of other gendered words swapped. For example: “he loved his mother very much” would read as “she loved her father very much”, “the patriarchy also hurts men” would read as “the matriarchy also hurts women”, that sort of thing.
This makes reading stuff on the internet a pretty fascinating and eye-opening experience, I must say. What would the world be like if we reversed the way we speak about women and men? Well, now you can find out!

Tilt: 3D-DOM-Viewer in your Browser
Schöne Spielerei: Tilt 3D ist ein Firefox-Plugin, das einem das DOM (Document Object Model) einer Website in 3D anzeigt. Das Bild oben ist Nerdcore und man sieht wunderbar, wie unaufgeräumt mein WordPress-Theme eigentlich ist. Gmail sieht auch ziemlich interessant aus. Tilt is a fun new Firefox extension focused on creating a 3D visualization of a webpage, drawn using WebGL. Since the DOM is essentially a tree-like representation of a document, this tool layers each node based on the nesting in the tree, creating stacks of elements, each having a corresponding depth and being textured according to the webpage rendering.
Various information besides the actual contents will be displayed on request, regarding each node’s type, class, id, and other attributes if available. The rendering will be dynamic, in-browser, using WebGL and GLSL shaders.
Tilt also offers the possibility of inspecting the html, css, and attributes of each node in the DOM tree, refreshes its contents if the webpage has been modified with other tools such as Firebug, and exporting the webpage to a 3D mesh or a screenshot.

Ghostery: Browser-Plugin detecting Trackers
Ghostery ist ein sehr schönes Plugin für so ziemlich alle Browser, das die Tracking-Pixel und Whatnot auf Websites anzeigt und gegebenenfalls blockt. Geht wahrscheinlich auch mit anderen Plugins, aber die haben keine Geister. Ich hab’ das Ding grade mal bei mir drüberlaufen lassen… sagen wir’s mal so: da geht einiges.

JMStV-WordPress-Plugin für Öffnungszeiten
Mein kleines WordPress-Plugin hört auf den Namen Spätvorstellung und ermöglicht es, einen Artikel oder eine Seite (oder auch nur einen Teil davon) erst nach und nur bis zu einer bestimmten Uhrzeit anzeigen zu lassen. So lassen sich “Sendezeiten” für einzelne Beiträge, z.B. von 22 bis 6 Uhr, einrichten. Tagsüber wird anstelle des eigentlichen Inhalts nur der folgende, beliebig anpassbare Hinweis angezeigt:
Der folgende Beitrag ist für Büro-PCs und Jugendliche unter 16 Jahren nicht geeignet, weshalb er ausschließlich zwischen 22 und 6 Uhr zu sehen ist. […]
Zwischen 22 und 6 Uhr wird anstelle dieses Hinweises der eigentliche Beitrag plus die Info, dass dieser Beitrag nur in einer bestimmten Zeitspanne zu sehen ist, angezeigt.
Dirk Olbertz hatte vor ein paar Tagen auch schon ein Plugin geschrieben, das blockiert aber gleich das ganze Blog mit einem Stoppschild, muss ja auch nicht sein, da finde ich das hier etwas eleganter.
Ich würde den Hinweiß ja dergestallt anpassen, dass er zusätzlich zu diesem Text noch ein nettes Sicherheitsvideo anzeigt. Zum Beispiel dieses hier, das ich auch schonmal hatte (NSFW for Supergore).
Oil Spill Firefox-Plugin
Das Plugin lies sich bei meiner Firefox-Version (3.5.9) zwar nicht installieren, aber die Idee ist super: Es schwärzt alle Nennungen von BP und ein paar Varianten und lässt da schwarze Soße runterlaufen. Solche Dinge passieren grade übrigens auch im echten Leben: Junk Shot.
