Southpark: The Coon 2 – BP unleashes Cthulhu
Die neueste Folge von Southpark ist der Nachfolger von ihrer Kick-Ass Dark Knight-Verarsche „The Coon“ und darin bohrt BP auf dem Mond nach Öl, öffnet ein Tor in eine andere Dimension aus natürlich gleich der olle Cthulhu rauskriecht. Dürfte der erste von zwei Teilen sein, den man sich auf Southpark.de hier anschauen kann. (Danke Maronics!)
Southpark über Facebook, Chatroulette und Tron
Die neue Southpark-Folge „You have 0 friends“ ist mir heute schon den ganzen Tag begegnet und da man sie wegen Copyrightshitgeofucking hierzulande nicht schauen kann und ich für Alternativen zu faul war, habe ich sie ignoriert.
Grade habe ich einen funktionierenden Link gefunden und die Folge ist brillant: Stan wird als Facebook-Verweigerer in eine Tron-Welt gezogen und kämpft dort gegen sein eigenes Profil. Kniffel. Ich bin ja selber eher ein Stan, habe zwar ein Profil, aber tatsächlich: I don’t give a shit. Ich ignoriere alle „Werde Fan von This’n'that“-Anfragen, reagiere nicht auf nicht lustige Facebook-Spielchen und bestätige einmal im Monat oder so den Friends-Kram.
Jedenfalls: Unbedingter Anschaubefehl, das Ende ist für Southpark fast schon rührend. Und seit wann killen die eigentlich nicht mehr Kenny? (Oder hab’ ich da grade nicht hingesehen?)
Richard Dawkins „What if you’re wrong?“, South Park-Style

TubeLooB hat das berühmte Video der Antwort Richard Dawkins’ auf die Frage nach einer Zuschauerin, „What if you’re wrong?“, im South Park-Style remixed. Und bevor jemand meint, er habe die Frage gar nicht beantwortet: Doch, hat er. Er sagt zwischen den Zeilen: Wenn ich falsch liege, dann hat jemand anders Recht, es weiß aber niemand, wer das ist und welcher der drölfmillionen Götter, die in der Menschheitsgeschichte existierten, nun der echte ist. Therefore, Religion still sucks big time.

Zunächst mal die schlechte Nachricht: Die englischen Originale kann man ab sofort nicht mehr unter http://www.southparkstudios.com/ anschauen, sondern erhält dort diese Meldung:
Due to copyright and other legal [bullshit, Anm. d. Red.] reasons, South Park video content cannot be viewed outside the United States.
Hier nun die gute Nachricht: Alle deutschen Southpark-Folgen sind unter Southpark.de online anschaubar. Was natürlich ein bisschen ärgerlich ist, denn die aktuellen englischen Staffeln sind natürlich jetzt weg. Kriegt man aber auch woanders her. Hab ich gehört.

[update] Julian hat den Southpark-Machern einen offenen Brief geschrieben und vom ausstrahlenden Sender MTV in Deutschland Antwort bekommen. Long Story short: Auch die englischen Folgen werden auf Southpark.de verfügbar gemacht. Yay!
Die neueren Folgen habe ich mir auch im Netz gezogen, weil ich die deutsche Synchronfassung grauenhaft finde. Bis ihr eines Tages alle Folgen auf southparkstudios.com online gestellt hatte. Mann, was war ich Stolz! Ehrlich. Endlich welche, die es verstanden hatten, Leute, die nicht gegen den Wind, sondern voll mit der Zeit gingen! Gerne habe ich dann auch die neuesten Folgen online geschaut, weil ich es unterstützen wollte.
Heute muss ich sagen: Ein Glück, dass es The Pirate Bay noch gibt. Seit heute, kann ich nämlich nicht mehr auf eure Website. Statt dessen wird mir so etwas ähnliches vorgelegt, southpark.de. Nur gibt es auf southpark.de gar nicht, was ich will. Die Stimmen klingen so komisch, so anders. Irgend jemand hat das Original nachgesprochen, und dabei einen größeren Teil des Witzes verschluckt. Könnt ihr da nochmal nachgucken?

Southpark und die Finanzkrise

Die neue Southpark-Folge nimmt sich der Finanzkrise an, masht diese immer wieder mit der Geschichte von Jesus (!) und sie ist absolut großartig, wenn man von den Clips ausgeht, die komplette Folge ist nämlich noch nicht online, auch wenn dort was anderes steht. Aber die Clips sind totally hilarious, hier meine Favorites:

South Parks „Imaginationland“ als Directors Cut online
Trey Parker und Matt Stone haben den für einen Grammy nominierten Southpark-Dreiteiler „Imaginationland“ in einem Directors Cut zu einem Film zusammengeschnitten und auf der offiziellen Website als Stream hochgeladen. Ich bin dann mal 70 Minuten beschäftigt.
In this uncensored Director’s Cut, the doors of the world’s imagination are thrown wide open and the boys of South Park are transported to a magical realm in their greatest odyssey ever. Stan, Kyle, and Butters find themselves in Imaginationland just as terrorists launch an attack that unleashes all of mankind’s most evil characters imaginable.
With the world’s imaginations spinning out of control, the government prepares to nuke Imaginationland to put an end to the chaos. Racing against time to prevent nuclear annihilation, the citizens of Imaginationland realize their only hope of salvation lies in the mind of the unlikeliest of heroes: Butters. Ignoring the impending apocalypse, Cartman goes all the way to the Supreme Court to get justice for his case of dry balls.
5 Things You Didn’t Know: South Park
Back in the summer of 1997, you had to know that South Park was going to be an iconoclast when you learned the premiere episode was titled, “Cartman Gets an Anal Probe.” If it didn’t occur to you then, it surely has by now.
South Park, created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker for Comedy Central, features crude animation, boorish characters and jaw-dropping story lines so vulgar and distasteful that to label them merely “offensive” is actually something of an offense to the show itself. South Park has prided itself on inciting rage worldwide for its seemingly blasphemous depiction of religion, heartless portrayal of persons with disabilities, shameless instances of toilet humor, racism, foul language, and their impressions of the Holocaust — and these are just the first few mentions in their catalog of offensives.
In short, there are no sacred cows in the town of South Park.
South Park’s Internet symbiosis, featuring audio with Matt Stone
On last week’s episode of “South Park,” residents of our favorite made-up mountain hamlet woke up to a new kind of horror: a townwide Internet outage. No e-mail, no WebMD.com to check rogue symptoms and, most harrowing of all, no Internet porn. Panic-stricken and Net-starved, Stan Marsh and his family lash their belongings to the roof of their SUV and head west — “out Californee way” — in hopes of finding enough bandwidth to survive.
As the best episodes of “South Park” do, “Over Logging” manages to be equal parts insightful, hysterical and disturbing. If the Internet did go down, it actually would be a federal disaster — probably causing not only a depression and security crisis but also serious disruption to the psyche of a nation that can barely imagine unwired life — even though we can remember it. Which leads to the other side of the scenario: How absurd it is that the way we live has been fundamentally altered in, like, the life span of “South Park.”
When I asked co-creator Matt Stone about having a show that bridged the gap from the pre-Internet era to now, he knew what to say.
“We kind of did that on purpose.”
AT&T: The Internet Will Explode in 2010
South Park already showed us how to fix the internet, but what really struck me was Randy’s speech at the end—he totally sounded like an AT&T or Comcast executive when he said, “It’s easy for us to think we can just use up all the internet we want but…it could one day be gone forever.” Actually, that’s exactly what AT&T’s VP for Legislative Affairs Jim Cicconi said at the Westerminister eForum: “We are going to be butting up against the physical capacity of the internet by 2010.”
And it’s because you assholes are using it too much. Cicconi argued that the “unprecedented new wave of broadband traffic” currently flooding the tubes will increase to 50 times what it is now by 2015, with video making up 80 percent of all internet traffic by 2010. So yeah, you really can only use the internet for porn twice a day, max, or it could one day be gone forever.
OMG! Southpark ohne Internet!
Ich schaue mir grade die letzte Southpark-Folge im Netz an, in dem das Kaff kein Internet mehr hat, alle verständlicherweise erstmal komplett am Rad drehen und sich dann irgendwann daran erinnern, wie sie Nachrichten vor dem Netz empfingen. Fernsehen! „We’re sorry, we can not bring you the news, because it appears that we have no internet!“
One day the citizens of South Park wake up and find the internet is gone. When Randy hears there may still be some internet out in California, he packs up his family and heads west.
