Das Designstudio Fantich & Young hat seine Zahntreter jetzt auch für Damen gefertigt: High Heels mit 500 Zähnen.
The shoes soles are decked out with over 500 denture teeth and remind one of Meret Oppenheim Objects in their subversive skewered surrealism. The shoes were chosen for their style and reflect aspects of the political philosophy (“survival of the fittest”) of Herbert Spencer’s Social Darwinism.

A utility company is trying to reunite nine people with their false teeth in time for Christmas. The dentures were all recovered from Severn Trent’s sewage treatment works in Monkmoor, Shrewsbury. The teeth are thought to have been flushed down toilets or dropped down plug-holes.

Demnächst kann man in Kanada einen Backenzahn von John Lennon ersteigern. Vor ein paar Jahren hatte ich mal die Versteigerung einer Haarlocke von Elvis Presley und ich wette, wenn man nur lange genug wartet, kann man sich einen Frankenstein aus den Körperteilen legendären Musikern zusammenbauen. Aus irgendeinem Grund denke ich grade an Michael Jacksons Nase. Muss an der Uhrzeit liegen.

Lennon gave the tooth to Dorothy “Dot” Jarlett when she worked as his housekeeper at his Kenwood home in Weybridge, Surrey, according to her son Barry. Jarlett, who was employed between 1964 and 1968, developed a warm relationship with Lennon, her son said.
“She was very close with John, and one day whilst chatting in the kitchen, John gave my mother the tooth (he had been to the dentist to have it removed that day) and suggested giving it to my sister as a souvenir, as she was a huge Beatles fan,” he said. “It has been in the family ever since.”

Sehr schöne Minidoku über einen Zahnarzt auf den Straßen von Indiens Jaipur. Und tatsächlich denke ich, dass der Mann sehr recht hat, wenn er sagt: „The only difference between the rich doctors and us is, that they have fancy chairs, fans, servants, x-rays and other gadgets.“ Ansonsten machen sie exakt denselben Job und dreckig ist der in beiden Fällen. Uaaaah, Zahnärzte!
